University of Plymouth Enterprise (UOPEL) Ltd is seeking an associate to support the delivery of a European Commission Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) Research for SMEs (R4S) project. Working as part of a diverse consortium led by Plymouth University, the InGeCt project (www.ingect.eu) aims to develop an innovative, environmentally friendly gel-coating technology for composites for marine and wind-turbine applications to reduce VOC emissions, processing time and cost.
You will be expected to conduct cutting-edge research which will significantly update knowledge and understanding in the field.
Given the specialist nature of the project, you will be expected to demonstrate prior knowledge and experience of the specification, design and test of composite components produced using advanced manufacturing techniques such as Resin Infusion / Resin Transfer Moulding.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week and is fixed term for 21 months with UOPEL, the Universities Commercial Company.
Salary: £31020 to £35938 pa – Grade 7
