Job Description: Affinity with the deployment of (marine-optical) monitoring equipment (e.g. spectral radiometers, weather stations and water quality monitoring sensors). Experience in using bio-optical modeling software (Hydrolight/Ecolight) is an advantage. Understanding of colourimetry and knowledge of colourimetric calculations is preferable. The candidate must be able to work effectively as part of a team but also as an individual and must be willing to spend some periods in the field. Field investigations include scientific research cruises to collect marine-optical data, sea surface images and seawater samples. The work will include and will draw on skills in oceanography, marine ecology, data processing and laboratory work and scientific reporting.
