The complexity, diversity, and mystery of the Red Sea provide massive potential for breakthrough science. Located on the shores of the Red Sea, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology is leading fundamental and integrated research from the molecular level to the physical and chemical environment in which the whole ecosystem exists. The Red Sea is home to several different extreme environments such as deep brines and cold seeps, as well as warm deep-water and hypoxic layers. The Red Sea also contains the longest coral reef system in the world. With state-of -the-art facilities, the Red Sea Research Center (RSRC) is paving the way for leading-edge research into these ecosystems.
We seek creative and independent scientists with specific interests in Biological Oceanography, Marine Biology/Marine Ecology, and Genomics. Colleagues are invited to join our faculty at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level with expertise in areas of:
• Extreme Environments Biology
• Benthic Ecology
Please email your CV, a cover letter, and two letters of reference to Marine.Science@kaust.edu.sa
