The Stable Isotope Laboratory at the University of Miami has opening for three PhD students in the field of (i) speleothems research, (ii) clumped isotopes in the field of diagenesis, and (iii) paleoceanography using corals and sclerosponges. Students will be given full support and tuition for five years.

Students will be based in the stable isotope lab group and the associated Comparative Sedimentology Laboratory Center for Carbonate Excellence. These projects are supported by NSF and a consortium of major oil companies. The stable isotope laboratory has six stable isotope mass spectrometers as well as a host of other analytical capabilities.
